I've been in marketing for over 20 years, growing and launching some of the world's biggest and most loved brands.
It's been the dream experience.
Big budgets, big brands and world-class marketing teams.
But it was when I built my own snack brand that everything changed.
It was a business that failed.
That failure taught me something no corporate role ever could.
Marketing knowledge isn't the same as strategic clarity.
I'd built the wrong product for the wrong audience.
What surprised me most since then was discovering how many founders are making the same mistakes I had. Building first, then trying to market their way out of a strategy problem.
